Engineering Intern


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:
Support/drive NPI project plans to meet customer objectives in support of the Program Management Team
In collaboration with Engineering team establish the master Method of Manufacturing for NPI engineering projects
Manage requests to customers for drawing clarifications, manufacturing changes & waivers for current builds
Review customer prints and specifications, including ECO/ECNs for new and existing customers
Responsible for identifying and improving process gaps
Participate in design for manufacturability reviews to improve production processes
Participate in Root Cause Analysis as needed
Create and manage redline drawings
Provide technical expertise to PM, Production, Purchasing, and QA teams
EDUCATIONS and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
Ability to read and understand engineering documents, including engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications - strong GD&T knowledge is preferred
Experience creating 3D models and drawings
Must be self-motivated, organized and able to work in fast pace environment
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MSProject
Possess analytical skills and attention to detail
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects. Items carried include laptop & papers
Must be able to start immediately. This is not a summer internship
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
