Valet Attendant

SUMMARY
The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to each guest arriving and departing the casino entrance. They must enjoy working with the public and be able to provide professional and courteous service at all times. Valet/Bell Attendants welcome and create the first impression upon guest arrival. This will include safely relocating guest automobiles to designated parking locations, assisting passengers during the loading and unloading process, and ensuring luggage is handled with care. This person is responsible for providing excellent customer service and continuously assisting guests. This is a highly visible role which gives opportunity for casual conversation and a chance to discuss local attractions, restaurants, and events in the area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provides claim check ticket and instructs guests on how to reclaim vehicle;
Parks guest vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner;
Retrieves customer vehicles from specified areas in a safe and efficient manner;
Provide travel directions and information on property events and promotions;
Provides accurate and timely documentation and reports of departmental activities and status including claim checks, vehicle damage, statements, and conditions which require attention and or repair. Obeys all traffic laws on and off property;
Provides documentation of vehicle trip reports and daily vehicle logs using PC and Apple programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and iPhone applications;
Promotes the courteous treatment of customers and resolving guest service issues or retrieving the direct supervisor for assistance;
Delivers internal and external guest service by ensuring every interaction is positive;
Provides especially timely & knowledgeable service. Always find solutions to guests' problems;
Greets arriving and departing guests. Opens passenger door(s) and offers assistance, if appropriate;
Communicates effectively with the Player's Club and Lodge Front Desk to ensure each guest is assisted in a timely manner;
Shuttle qualified guests to and from residence, hotel, marina, and RV Park; other locations may be included;
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to drive both automatic and manual (stick-shift) vehicles. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement is desired, but not a requirement.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
The Valet Parking Attendant must possess a valid Washington State driver's license for a minimum of 3 years prior to start of job, in addition to being able to provide a clean driving record and proof of insurability.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk at a fast pace, talk or hear and occasionally sit. The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Must be able to enter and exit vehicles without restrictions. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud from traffic noise, music and/or loud speakers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
