TITLE: Accountant
DESCRIPTION:
This position will assist in the daily operations of the Corporate Finance Office and be responsible for the following functions: maintaining fixed asset records, balance sheet reconciliations, processing journal entries, Property, Sales and Use tax filings and postings, acting as a backup for others in the department and assisting with various special projects.
Responsibilities
Record Daily Cash Activity
Transfer money between bank accounts as needed
Recordkeeping and reporting for fixed assets
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
Track Lease agreements and payments
Generate monthly financial reports
Assist with annual financial audit
Facilitate property tax returns
Act as backup for various duties within the department
Interact with senior level Accountants on daily basis and assist with special projects
Provide clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
BS in Accounting required
2 - 4 years of relevant work experience
Ability to contribute fresh and innovative ideas
Intermediate skills in MS Office applications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exhibit a customer service mindset
Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
