Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of all office and field operations related to construction for jobs assigned to them. Manages projects with regard to cost, quality, safety, customer service, subcontractor and/or employee overall job coordination objectives.
, Requirements:
Coordinates and monitors performance of subcontractors and/or employees, evaluates performance and initiates corrective action as required
Responsible for coordination and installation of the entire project
Holds estimated gross margins and accounts for discrepancies at job roll up
Insure performance to fulfill all contract obligations of Caliper and insures building code compliance
Coordinate with senior project manager, or operations manager (depending on reporting structure) and customers daily
Process required paperwork neatly, correctly and daily
Performs safety and cleanup audits and reviews with subs and/or employees with a goal of continuous improvement
Attend pre-construction meetings, provide input on work scopes and contracts, review plans, specifications and shop drawings prior to production and insure compliance
Reviews material takeoffs and coordinates with purchasing for delivery
Comply with and enforce all company policies
Attend the training sessions for your position offered by the company
Attend company and customer meetings
Maintain positive company image (appropriate language, dress, and behavior)
Keep the job-site organized and clean
Provide your own hand tools and belt
Maintain and use your Personal Protective Equipment at all times
Insure a safe job-site
Be the primary Caliper representative for the job with the customer and coordinate all communications between customers, Caliper and our employees and subcontractors
Keep management advised of progress/problems
Develop framing schedule and communicate to all departments, employees and subs, monitor progress and take action as required to insure timely completion of projects
Interacts with estimating, design, purchasing and production and transportation departments to deliver a seamless, quality project to the owner
Prepares various reports as required.
Performs other duties as required.

Job Description:
Knowledge
High school diploma or GED
Six years of experience in the wood frame construction industry
Demonstrated knowledge of lumber and engineered wood products, wood framing anchors and connections and how they are assembled and used in hand frame and panelized buildings
Four years supervisory experience in a comparable position
Skills and abilities
Knowledge of all aspects of new construction
Demonstrated ability to read and understand plans, specifications and construction documents
Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public
Demonstrated ability to understand and use financial reports as a management tool
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers, other office machines and business related software
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the English and solid written and verbal communication skills
Able to delegate work, manage several activities or projects at once, organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines and prepare materials takeoffs and job schedules
Have or are able to acquire the following within 60 days:
Valid Driver's License
Valid Forklift Operator's License
Medical First-Aid and CPR certificate
Able to walk, climb ladders, lift and carry heavy/awkward objects, use hands extensively and lift 50 pounds
Able to operate forklifts, aerial man lifts, scissor lifts and other construction tools and equipment
Must be able to operate motor vehicles under 10,000 pound gross weight
Must have vision that is 20/20 with corrective lenses
Must be able to hear normal conversation without assistance
Must be able to smell gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, natural gas with mercaptin and combustion engine exhaust
Must be on their feet all day and able to handle confined space, heights, loud noises, all types of weather, and all hand and power tools and equipment used in wood framing
Demonstrated ability to work hours and shifts mandated by management
Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment, travel as required
Knowledge of all applicable codes and standards related to their jobsites
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and leadership abilities
Able to work with minimal supervision and have a high level of commitment and individual responsibility
