Support the identification, investigation, mitigation and communication of drug safety issues applying proactive, data-driven and science-based approaches to pharmacovigilance and working collaboratively and strategically with colleagues in multiple disciplines assess risks in the context of efficacy and patient safety.
Activities:
Leading the scientific elements of pro-active safety evaluation and risk management for high profile and complex products in post-marketing setting.
Evaluates clinical implications of safety data to predict and establish safety profiles of drugs.
Administer and coordinate expert groups and methodologies such as Safety Science, Informatics, Modelling and Simulation.
Collecting, assessing and processing post market data in compliance with worldwide regulations and guidelines including and Adverse Event Reports, Periodic Safety Update Reports, Development Safety Update Reports and Risk Management Plans.
Responding to requests for medical information from consumers and healthcare professionals.
Evaluate data for safety signals and collaboratively formulate responses.
