Job Description: The Backup Engineer is competent to drive and deliver projects and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the Backup Infrastructure, SAN fabric, server and database technologies, and industry standards common to big production environments. The successful candidate for this position is recognized as adept and experienced in the field of System, and Backup Engineering and Administration, being able to implement, and operate system level components and environments to meet the requirements of the stakeholders and applications that run on them.?The Resource will be responsible for taking on several client engagements which will detail from strategy assessments of full backup environments, to implementation of new environments. The resource must be familiar with NetBackup, Tivoli and Avamar, VEEAM, Tape Library and Tape Backups. Knowledge of Data Domain is a huge plus.?

DETAILED
Responsibilities:?These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
System Operations 24x7 on call escalation for production support break/fix issues
Engineer solutions and target hardware and storage and backup architecture configurations for new projects being deployed to production.
Implement and Operate Backup solutions
Work with internal applications teams to review new applications and define requirements and standards to be introduced into production.
Ability to work on complex problems and engineer solutions to author and deliver detailed documentation of Storage system level procedures, configurations and standards.
Identifying current bottlenecks and breakdowns in process and streamlining Storage and Backup provisioning solutions.
Identify and support Enterprise grade solutions and sustainment of Backup
Experience in a medium-large scale (SAN/NAS) Storage and Backup/Restore Environment.
Use best practices to provision storage (Volumes/LUNs) from the storage array through the fabric and to the host.
Use best practices to complete backup and restores from tape libraries to hosts
Requires in-depth knowledge and techniques used in system administration plus knowledge of and ability to use relevant hardware, software and other equipment.
Must be able to respond to, identify, isolate and resolve issues related to the backup environment.
Assist with daily storage and backup operations including configuration and maintenance as well as allocating, and troubleshooting SAN/NAS and Backup/Restore related issues.
?REQUIRED
Qualifications:
At least 2 years hands-on experience implementing, and operating Backup/Restore solutions from Veritas/Symantec, VEEAM, DataDomain
At least 2 years hands-on experience supporting and engineering experience using Symantec, VEEAM, or DataDomain management tools.
At least 2 years of experience with Symantec/Veritas Volume manager (VxVM) or understanding of Logical Volume Managers extremely helpful.
Experience writing test scripts and working with test tools and applications
Must have good written, verbal and interpersonal skills in order to communicate with a wide range of internal and external customers.
Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational ability
Creative, self-motivated, self-learned team player willing to take the lead to develop complicated high availability system designs and configurations
Experience with leading large projects from the development and engineering phases and following through to final production deployment.
BS in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience in storage and backup engineering and operations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
