Gerdau is currently seeking Industrial Mechanical Maintenance staff for its Midlothian TX facility.
SEVERAL OPENINGS!
Responsibilities:
The primary function of this position is to service and repair the mechanical equipment within the Midlothian Mill to maintain maximum equipment availability. Such tasks include, but is not limited to, welding, cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics and rebuilding equipment and power transmission components back to an operational mode. Work is performed in steel mill environment. A variety of physically demanding tasks are associated with this position such as physically being able to work at heights, stooping, bending, walking etc.
Qualifications include:
A minimum of 3 years industrial mechanical maintenance experience
HS Diploma/GED required. Associate degree or Certificate is a plus.
Welding and torch cutting (stick and mig)
Bearing and gear box rebuild experience
Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
Crane mechanical experience
Must be flexible to work 12 hour rotating shifts
