The Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Grand Junction, Coloradois seeking a full-time board-certified/board eligible Urologist. The position requires the candidate to provide the most effective delivery of urological care throughout the medical center in compliance with VA and VHA Directives, American Urological Association standards, and The Joint Commission accreditation standards. The candidate also provides a variety of services including pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery including treatment of lesions, biopsies, laparoscopy, cryosurgery, urological laser procedures, enucleation, thermotherapy, stent insertion, and all prostatectomy approaches. Expertise in minimally invasive and percutaneous urologic surgery is required.

Also, provides urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, ICU, ward, and clinic settings as needed, to include on-call coverage. Provides critical care related direct care as a part of a multidisciplinary critical care team. Candidate also provides urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, PACU, ICU, ward, and clinic settings as needed. The incumbent may also be involved in program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to delivery of quality urological care.

Typical workweek is 40 hours, Monday - Friday.
