What warehouse operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
What is expected of your for success in the role
Demonstrates general skill in assigned area or responsibility, such as picking, packing, sorting and receiving
Accurately performs basic operational tasks assigned to the individual
Performs a single warehouse operations function within the operating guidelines of the facility
Demonstrates effective oral communication skills
Accountabilities in this role
Perform work to current standard.
Understand facility and individual performance goals and current performance.
Identify opportunities to improve personal performance.
Accurately track performance to standard and any causes of variance to plan.
Support problem solving small group activities.
Maintain a positive attitude and accept changes.
When identifying problems, offer solutions.
Review all receiving and/or shipping documents for completion, clarity and accuracy.
Prior warehouse or distribution experience preferred
Prior experience with warehouse management and RF systems preferred
Detail oriented; speed and accuracy is required
Ability to work co-operatively with internal team members
Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Use of RF Scanner
Previous warehouse / distribution center experience prefered
Ab
ility to lift 40-50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs with assistance
Ability to stand for long periods of time, complete physical tasks - climbing ladders, stooping, bending, kneelingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
