We are currently seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources Team. The successful candidate will consult with leaders in assigned business areas to address organization and compensation issues as well as evaluate and price positions utilizing external market data and internal grade structures. Additional responsibilities include contributing to various compensation projects, performing research, and helping to develop solutions. You will also participate in the management of pay programs and annual review processes and communicate and administer compensation policy.
Consults with leaders in assigned client areas. Applies technical and analytical expertise to a wide range of compensation issues involving total compensation plan design and administration. Work with leaders on organizational design issues to develop job families and hierarchies as part of the job evaluation process.
Evaluate and market price positions at all levels of the organization utilizing external market data and internal position comparisons to make salary structure and pay grade placement recommendations. Consult with Compensation Manager and Sr. Analysts as needed.
Analyzes both exempt and non-exempt positions and prepares or edits position content documents in cooperation with business area leaders and/or other HR team members. Maintains appropriate documentation. Evaluates and determines FLSA status of positions and prepares related documentation.
Participates in job placement approval process by participating in compensation committees as needed.
Communicates and administers compensation policy and procedures, provides on-going support to management and employees thru compensation education to ensure thorough understanding of pay programs.
Contribute to compensation projects as assigned, including research, development, and implementation of changes to compensation programs, policies, practices, or procedures.
Participates in overall Compensation department planning and annual survey administration process.
Participates in Incentive Administration as necessary.
Assume additional related responsibilities as requested.
Health and Safety Requirement: Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean Comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Take immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions.
BA/BS Required
2-3 years of relevant experience required
Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, principles, and regulatory requirements of all aspects of Compensation
Strong MS Excel skills required. Proficiency with HRIS and job documentation databases preferred
Advanced math skills and basic knowledge of statistical applications
Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal formats
Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization, including Executives and Senior Leadership
Politically astute, can adapt style and approach based on the situation, comfortable raising counter-points
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Top notch attention to detail and accuracy
Project management skills
Team player who works effectively in a collaborative environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
