The Operational Risk Systems & Data Management team provides technology solutions to support the Operational Risk Group and various LOBs. The ORSDM Tools team works with its business partners in identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of Operational Risk across the firm. The group works closely with the Operational Risk Group to ensure that risks are being appropriately managed and reported within the organization. ORS supports our partners by developing and supporting best in class Data Warehouse Business Intelligence platform that track and assess the risks and controls across the enterprise.
ORSDM within Enterprise Risk Management Technology is responsible for compliance technology utilized throughout Wells Fargo.
This role will manage a group of Business Systems Consultants focused on supporting existing applications and projects within the Operational Risk space. Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Act as liaison between Operational Risk Business partners and ERMT Technical organization, including Data Warehouse Business Intelligence developers by planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems.
Facilitate meetings for refining business requirements to a greater level of detail
Provide in-depth analysis of database changes in source systems and their impact to the reporting system
Work with business and development team members to explain complex questions and thoroughly document answers
Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
Create, Update, and distribute Functional System Design Documents, Schema Changes and Process Flow documents
Ensure that Business Partners, Developers, QAs, and Technology Support understand requirements and system design
Record and Track system defects and change requests from inception to implementation and close
Manage the release schedule for change requests and defect fix implementations for reporting systems
Escalate issues and concerns as appropriate
Build and share subject matter expertise in Operational Risk business and Technology Operations Group processes
Provide effort estimates for the Business Systems Consultant/analysis portion of projects and change requests

years' experience with project methodology

years' experience in business systems consultant work including documenting business requirements, functional system design documents and process flows.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including being able to effectively communicate with business lines and internal team members.
Detail oriented and able to multi-task
Beginner Level SQL knowledge
Beginner Level Database design/Data Modelling Knowledge
Strong data analysis skills required to improve data quality and processes
Ability to work well under pressure and challenging deadlines
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analysis skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities
Ability to be self-directed
Preferred Skills:
Candidate should have appropriate Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
Preferred location is Chandler, Arizona

Proven ability to perform coordination / project management type tasks
Intermediate level SQL knowledge
Intermediate level database design/data modeling knowledge
Proven ability to lead and develop technical and functional system requirements working with end users and subject matter experts.
Experience in gathering and documenting requirements related to workflow systems is a plus
First-hand experience with Agile methodology in a Data Warehouse Business Intelligence development group (i.e. user stories, backlogs, sprints, etc).
