Responsibilities
Coordinates and directs the daily activities of the Insurance Analysts responsible for billing claims for Vidant hospitals and SSEC, primary, secondary and tertiary.
Determines professional learning needs of staff and identifies short/long-term goals relevant to their position.
Reviews and evaluates Work Q's & SSI daily to ensure adequate and timely billing is performed and the work-load is equally distributed.
Stays current on all of the contractual agreements with third party payers and the affects on claim filing/contract management as it applies to each UHS hospital and SSEC.
Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations and time and attendance.
Reviews and approves contractual, administrative and legally un-billable adjustments in accordance with the policy.
Reviews & evaluates the daily errors in the SSI translation for all payers as well as FISS and BlueE to ensure appropriate edits are in place and to identify system issues.
Supervises and coordinates the daily processes associated with the SSI Remote ClickOn system (Billing system) and the daily processes associated with SSI Direct (a component of the Billing system.)
Performs other related responsibilities as required or requested.
Demonstrates service excellence.
Minimum Requirements
High school plus 2 years or formal education - Business
3 - 4 years experience - Third party billing and reimbursement, insurance carriers, on the job training, accounting.
One year of experience may be substituted for one year of education with a maximum substitution of one year.
