Act as primary liaison to all statewide project meetings and coordination of college service area participation in statewide activities;
With the Director of WFD, manage all aspects of the GCC GPSTEM grant, assuring timely program administration, evaluation, and reporting to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions or the grant. Data collection and reporting will be done as guided by statewide project outcomes and evaluation reporting guidelines, with the assistance of the designated data coordinator in Institutional Research. Fiscal management and reporting will be performed in close consultation with the statewide project staff and with the assistance of GCC grant management staff;
Communicate regularly with GCC Science and Engineering Departments and Office of Workforce Development to ensure timely completion of grant tasks and to oversee and facilitate grant budget expenditures;
Facilitate and/or attend regular meetings with Franklin-Hampshire Career Center staff to bridge coordination of career center and community college participant support services and training. Hold project management meetings as needed with GCC program staff and partners;
In conjunction with Franklin-Hampshire Career Centers, coordinate the training of GCC project staff in the career center client service processes and resources;
Build and strengthen relationships within manufacturing industry and with area employers to facilitate incorporation of employer needs into program development, including participation in industry associations and advisory boards;
Ensure the effective intake and advising of potential students identified by GCC, Franklin Hampshire Career Center, Adult Basic Education (ABE) agencies and community partner program staff as having an interest in and ability to succeed in community college programs. Coordinate campus-based resources to provide maximal targeted student advising supports to participants;
In collaboration with regional employment boards, career centers and ABE providers, and GCC faculty and staff, identify and coordinate design of appropriate college-level training options for training participants;
Coordinate all professional development activities funded by the GPSTEM project for GCC faculty members and other appropriate program staff. Collaborate with western Massachusetts community colleges and statewide program staff on shared professional development opportunities;
Maintain contact with the staff of the Franklin-Hampshire Career Centers and with GCC Enrollment Services staff for collaborative troubleshooting of enrollment management issues related to scheduling, billing, and certification of student outcomes;
Report participant progress back to the Franklin Hampshire Career Centers and ABE partners at quarterly project management meetings, and through periodic contact, as needed, based on participant progress and standing.

Qualifications:
Bachelor-s Degree in public administration, business administration or STEM related field from an accredited college or university;
At least two years- experience in grants and/or project management with demonstration of ability to manage many administrative tasks at once and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment;
Three years of experience in higher education and/or workforce development;
Record of collaboration and strong team building within and across organizations including demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to dynamic culture of multiple systems;
Demonstrated positive, strong, collegial working relationships with peers;
Demonstrated experience in a job requiring great attention to detail, organization, timeliness, and report writing;
Ability to facilitate, negotiate and manage stakeholders with a variety of interests to utilize consensus-based decision making processes and to set group priorities to meet program goals;
Ability to take initiative, work independently and coordinate project activities with limited oversight including supervising others in a work setting;
Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and written skills that facilitate the advancement of program and grant goals;
Strong computer skills: word processing, database, desktop publishing, Internet, and other software programs.

Experience working in manufacturing environment or working knowledge of the Advanced Manufacturing sector-its current trends, labor market needs, challenges and regional characteristics;
Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and STEM sector;

A demonstrated ability to work successfully as a member of a leadership team;
Strategic thinker and planner;

Comments:
Position is full-time, 37.5 hrs/week, year-round, and grant-funded and runs through September, 2017.
