Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
Executive Steward will have overall responsibility for the Stewarding Department including ordering, control and inventory of all China Glass and silver; adhering to Sanitation Standards; and managing the day to day operations of the back of the house food and beverage operations from a cleaning/sanitation perspective.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coordinates all Kitchens to support back and front of the house operations
Maintains on time delivery of clean and sanitized equipment to requisitioning department
Responsible for the cleanliness of all back of the house F&B areas
Works closely with overnight cleaning contractor
Controls the use, movement and storage of hazardous cleaning chemicals and compressed gasses.
Oversee Manage the daily operation of the EDR (Employee Dining Room)
Manages Operational and Labor Costs against Budget
Conducts New Product and trend research to keep our operation on the cutting edge
Work as a liaison between the property, designated pest control companies
Manage and effectively communicate with Stewarding Employees
Coordination & creation of opening & closing procedures
Develop job description & sop s accordantly to create effective levels of quality & efficiency
Communicate effectively with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
Conduct attend meetings including: daily communication, service culinary line up, chef s meeting, weekly staff meeting, monthly department meetings
Maintain all sanitation and HACCP documentation in accordance to health codes
Guiding& supporting the team to exceed our guest satisfaction goals
Communicate popular & un popular content effectively
Use theassociateshandbook and DH&R philosophy as a tools to effectively coach employees
Provides essential hands on leadership to ensure functional food & beverage operations throughout the property with a view of improving guest satisfaction, brand presence and effectiveness.
In conjunction with Food & Beverage Operations, develops clear, concise and detailed equipment specifications, to provide production efficiencies, compliance and safety assurance for all employees operating the equipment.
Reviews and analyzes operational workflow, equipment needs, safety & environmental compliance and efficient production in all venues.
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must have management experience in a luxury hotel or club property in a related area
Must be able to speak, hear, understand, read, and write the English language.
Spanish knowledge is a plus
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Must have mathematical skills, computer software aptitude and some hotel and club operation knowledge.
Serve Safe, Sanitation and HACCP proficiency
Able to clearly understand and effectively manage all aspects labor and operational cost.
Must have a strong customer service aptitude.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to implement and uphold service standards
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
