Data Warehouse Specialist (47388)
The Data Warehouse Specialist position is responsible for the design and development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data sourcing ETL activities related to the current projects. This position will be involved in all aspects of programming, data preparation, cleanup and conversion, testing and quality monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation and documentation.
SKILLS
o Experience with ETL programming and customer support, database data matching, cleaning and load operations, and/or database analysis and reporting.
o 5 years
experience in design, development, and implementation of complex SSIS packages on Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2008 or higher in data warehouse/data mart environments.
o Strong Transact-SQL (T-SQL) query and stored procedure development
o Expert in load design strategies and ETL optimization techniques
o SQL Server Analysis Services (multi-dimensional cube) and MDX development experience
o Proficiency in Data modeling experience.
o Demonstrated organizational, analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities as well as possess decision making and negotiating skills.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Able to work in a team environment with strong interdependent partnering skills striving to create and maintain a positive relationship with all customers.
Education Requirement:
B.S. degree is required from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science or related field. MS Degree is plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Data Sourcing
o Design, develop and maintain ETL architectures.
o Design, develop and maintain reusable ETL code assets.
o Ensure alignment of ETL architecture and design and development activities with overall EDW direction.
o Data analysis on potential source systems including data profiling.
o Create/modify source system to EDW mappings including required transformations and data quality criteria and processing.
o Assist in the resolution of production issues related to ETL routines.
o Develop logical and physical data warehouse models.
. Ensure all design and development activities are in alignment with the overall architecture blueprint.
Pay Rate $36.00/Hr.
GA Department of Juvenile Justice 3408 Covington Highway Decatur , Georgia 30032Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
