TITLE: SR. SW QA Engineer
DUTIES/
Responsibilities:
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will write and execute test cases and test scripts to thoroughly test company software products and application systems. This position will anticipate potential malfunctions and design specific tests to make them occur on a system level without code access. The person in this position will also document all software discrepancies and work with development on the resolution of those discrepancies. The Senior QA Engineer will perform manual testing and write automated testing suites with lead automation engineer. Types of testing will include system, regression, integration, user accepted testing (UAT), front-end and back-end testing. This position will assist the Software Development team and QA staff to ensure the release of high-quality software on schedule.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent understanding of web-based and enterprise software applications and tools
- Ability to write test scripts to test software by capturing behavior in written and code form
- Enterprise testing including combo client technologies
- Object oriented programming experience with one of the following (Java, .Net, C#, or Rails)
- Procedural languages and relational database experience
- Scripting and markup languages like HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Experience with at least one of the following: automated testing with Ranorex, Watir, Sikuli, Selenium, .Net, C#, Java and Hexawise
- 2
years in Agile, Scrum and another iterative and incremental development methodology
- At least exposure to Test Driven Development (TDD)
- 2
years SQL experience
REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS:
- Eagerness to work within a dynamic, client-focused, service-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate cross-functionally
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in time-critical situations
