United States Steel Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager (Process Coordinator) for our facility in Fairless Hill, PA (near Philadelphia).
Job
Responsibilities:
Administer the U.S. Steel safety program to ensure safe work environment.
Administer the U.S. Steel environmental program to insure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
Apply engineering principles and problem solving techniques to evaluate and resolve mechanical and electrical conditions to maximize operating efficiencies.
Utilize management skills to supervise, direct and coordinate the efforts of a team of managers, experienced technicians, craftsmen and project planners/schedulers to repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to keep operations running at maximum efficiency with minimal down time. Use technical knowledge and maintenance background to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
Coordinate maintenance activities with operating managers to reduce down time.
Develop and adhere to departmental budget, Schedule crews, Develop equipment inspections, Complete reports as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a maintenance manager or military equivalent.
Possess the ability to interpret specifications and blueprints.
Capable of troubleshooting, identifying causes and implementing solutions to malfunctions in process and electrical equipment (pumps, valves, piping, steam turbines, switchgear, transformers, plcs) and material movement equipment (conveyors, hoppers, drive systems and gear boxes).
