Summary:
Repairs and maintains construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment by performing the following duties.
# Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists and hand tools.
Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
Repair or replace defective parts
Install special functional and structural parts in devices
Lubricate and cleans parts
Stars devices to test their performance
Weld broken parts and structural members.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
CDL is preferred

AWKWARD LIFT - of up to 35 lbs. shoulder to away from body
FLEXIBILITY - awkward reaches
BALANCE - including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
VISION - 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions
HEARING - corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions from coworkers
