Job Description:
TrueCar is the best car buying service in the U.S., and one of
the most well-funded, fastest growing technology companies in Los
Angeles. We partner with over 8,600 TrueCar Certified Dealerships
nation-wide who have sold 1.4 million vehicles through our
program!
After our Initial Public Offering in mid-May, our business is
booming and we are adding to our accounting team. We are currently
seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
and Transaction Support to take the lead in
reviewing the structure and accounting for complex transactions,
overseeing and maintaining our SEC filings, and working with our
legal team on equity compensation matters.
Responsibilities:
Research, analyze and conclude on technical accounting issues,
including the preparation of memorandums regarding the Company s
position
Work with internal groups to foresee potential accounting
issues and recommend practical solutions associated with
contemplated business transactions, including new products and
business lines
Oversee technical accounting related to any acquisitions made
by the Company, including purchase accounting and accounting policy
alignment considerations
Analyze new accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC and other
regulatory bodies, including evaluating the impact of new guidance
on the Company s financial statements and implementing new
accounting standards, as required
Oversee accounting of all equity related transactions and
stock-based compensation plans, including the valuation,
forecasting, recording, and reporting of stock-based compensation
expense, related tax impact and earnings per share
Oversee accounting managers in all filings, including annual
and quarterly reports and other required form filings to ensure
accuracy of data presented
Review and maintain all supporting documentation for SEC
filings
Manage XBRL tagging related to SEC filings.
Assist in ongoing SOX compliance requirements for internal and
external reporting.
Liaison with finance department, internal legal counsel and
external independent auditors
Qualifications:
8
years of relevant technical accounting and management
experience
Superior writing and communication capabilities
Experience in top-tier accounting firm
Experience working in a technology company preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP, FASB codification and
pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements, as well as ability
to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate
complex accounting and reporting issues
Experience with stock-based compensation accounting
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and
professionalism
Bachelor s degree required
CPA required
