System Application Administrator (Empower, ELN) in a GMP environment
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelors in Science in Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent industry experience, and 5
years of relevant technical experience including (but not limited to)
Required:
3
years working as an Empower System Admin
2
years working as an ELN System Admin
3
years experience working in biotech or pharmaceutical companies
3
years experience working in a GMP environment
3
years experience working with IT Systems
Demonstrated understanding of Networking, database, backup systems
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining EMPOWER (and other applications, such as ELN and possibly LIMS) application in compliance with policies, guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
- Manage changes to the EMPOWER and other Validated applications according to business needs and internal procedures
- Interface directly with various IT functional areas as it pertains to the support of the GMP Applications.
- Develop and maintain administration procedures and IT work practices for the EMPOWER and other validated applications.
- Prepare and/or execute computer system validation documents.
- Trouble shooting of application issues
- Repair and recover from hardware and software failures, coordinate and communicate with related vendor or individuals.
- Prepare, review and update software/hardware qualification documents, admin work practices, change control, IS Policies, Guidelines and SOPs.
Non-technical Skills:
- Experience in a high-availability, on-call environment
- Customer focused, follow-through
- Excellent customer service skills - interfacing with scientists, follow through, interfacing with vendors,
other IT groups
- Excellent Organizational Skills - ability to manage time and multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Problem solving, proven customer relationship and communication skills, proactive and a team playerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
