Your role with the company:
The Sr. Technical Accountant is responsible for providing guidance and support on complex accounting projects and working closely with the Accounting Manager to implement process improvements. Daily duties would include heavy involvement with internal and external auditors; assist with quarterly and annual reports to the SEC; maintaining the compensation database; and various special projects as needed.
The immediate impact for this position will be assisting with the preparation of SEC Filings 11-K, 10-Q, and 10-K. The ideal person for this role has strong public accounting experience, a great work ethic and attitude, and has some exposure to complex accounting. This position is in a finance department that works very well as a team with very strong collaboration.
Background profile:
Bachelor's degree is required, an MBA or Masters in Accounting is preferred
CPA is preferred
3-5 years of public accounting experience
Expertise in SEC Filing requirements
Exposure to Share Base Compensation database is a plus
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication with verbal and written skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
