Long Term Contract Position
Provide high-level support to the Global Technical Support Team in Trumbull, CT by conductingresearch, investigating and resolving Field Service Representative technical inquiries, and reviewing technical manuals to support the commercial fleets. Candidate will promote the safe and efficient operation of fielded Commercial helicopters by providing expert Avionic and Electrical technical advice and assistance to their owners and operators. These logs will vary in priority between AOG, Urgent, Priority and Routine.
Position requires extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of companies' helicopter systems and structures. Candidate must be highly skilled in the interpretation of technical publications, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, specifications and other technical data. They must be able to provide technical support and insight to internal customers such as Product Safety, Programs, Material, Analytics & Technology and others as required. Successful candidate will interface with functional engineering on a frequent basis.
The optimal candidate will have a broad understanding of the aircraft operation and design and a deep understanding of root cause / corrective action determination. They will possess a high sense of urgency when dealing with urgent customer inquiries. The ability to work with Avionics and Electrical suppliers as needed is also required.
In addition, the candidate will be trained and comply with all ITAR/EAR Export laws as they relate to client policy on distribution of technical data.
Previous experience interacting with the FAA and other certification authorities is also beneficial. Piloting, avionics installation, avionics troubleshooting skills or A&P; experience is beneficial for this job.
