PACS/RIS Administrator

Position Objective
Responsible for day-to-day applications support of PACS equipment including modality workflow, archiving, quality assurance of data, and other related activities. Works closely with other PACS/RIS Admins, RIS Workgroup, Radiology Engineering, Department Managers and Supervisors to ensure proper operation of the PACS and Epic Radiology Systems.
There is reasonable anticipation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Knowledge/Experience
A Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field is preferred in addition to graduate studies and/or degree.
The position requires four or more years of related experience in radiology operations in a comparably sized hospital setting. Strong modality operation background along with workflow knowledge and assessment abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and applications training skills.
Excellent written/oral communication skills required.
Must be able to work effectively with diverse group of people.
Solid understanding of desktop operating systems software (i.e. Windows XP/7) and Web browser use (Internet Explorer) required; familiarity with specific radiology information systems applications preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
