We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Retail Clerk. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Responsible for operating and balancing cash register (i.e. all monies, coupons, comps, and receipts).
Responsible for stocking inventory.
Ensures that work area is neat and clean and that merchandise is attractively displayed at all times.
Assists customers with all inquiries and purchases.
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow cast members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must successfully complete C.A.R.E. training certification course.
Previous retail experience preferred. Good oral communication skills required
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The cast member is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The cast member is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Physical demands related to work in the gift shop lifting and displaying merchandise and currency transactions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
