The SICP has an opening for the Day shift supervisor position in our Quality Assurance Lab. As a QA supervisor, this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the QA Lab Tech team. The supervisor is expected to provide guidance and direction to the team regarding their required job duties, which primarily focus on manufacturing control and quality assurance monitoring activities specifically addressing food quality and food safety. The supervisor also serves as a back-up to the QA Manager as necessary.
Hours are 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with some weekend coverage. Must have ability to flex or alter schedule if needed to attend meetings, support audit activities and/or projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to: participation in third party and internal audits and inspections; involvement in test-runs and projects as necessary; interaction with the Freezer as well as other ex-plant disciplines; promoting food quality and food safety by managing and developing quality activities within the manufacturing processes using established industry manufacturing control programs as well as company policies.

Candidates must have the skills to empower and motivate employees to safely produce the highest quality products in the most efficient manner.

## Qualifications
Preferred candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemical engineering, business management, or similar disciplines and preference will be given to those having experience supervising in the food, pharmaceutical, or nutritional products industry. A successful candidate in this position must be able to work independently, demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems through research and investigation, communicate - written and orally - in a thorough and comprehensive manner, and effectively influence, persuade and motivate others. Strong multi-tasking and communication skills are critical for the candidate pursuing this position.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your manager as dictated by business necessity.
The pay grade for this position is 33 and the incentive band is B.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
