Job Duties:
As a part of the Customer Support Division (CSD) Analytics Team, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analysis, reporting, and recommendations to drive operational and strategic outcomes. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, bright, analytical, and has a true passion for analytics.
The analyst should be able to think strategically about business issues, understand and use analytic technologies, and be able to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable recommendations.
Essential Functions:
o Develop strategic recommendations for business optimization and improvement based on analysis and research.
o Create and maintain dashboards and reports for various stakeholders within CSD. Ensure that reporting employs plain language and is easy to understand and share.
o Produce data-driven analysis and customer insight for marketing programs.
o Take initiative to develop your own hypotheses regarding our support offerings & systems and prove or disprove your own theories through data, leading to support offering & process improvements.
o Perform deep-dive engagement and user segmentation analytics using industry standard web metrics and new metrics you help create.
o Extract data from multiple data sources, across multiple systems, using a variety of query languages and tools.
o Fulfill ad hoc requests from support team for charts, reports, data manipulation, & analysis.
o Assist team with other Ad Hoc projects and requests
Job
Qualifications:
o A BA/BS in a business or technical field; an MS in a technical field or an MBA a plus
o 3-5 years of experience with at least 2 years of Business Intelligence experience
o Strategic approach to analytics, able to align strategy to business results
o Demonstrated understanding of business motivations and how numbers can drive business decisions.
o Initiative to develop and pursue projects without request
o Able to digest complicated, unstructured information and translate it into meaningful knowledge (reports/dashboards)
o Advanced knowledge of data architecture, systems and integration to include relational, dimensional and unstructured data models.
o Focus on data quality with an attention to detail.
o The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
o Experience using BI tools like Qlikview, Business Objects, Google Analytics, Omniture, SQL preferred
