Program Overview
Our Foster Care program works with the foster care children to talk about their referral issues and to discuss why they are in foster care. This counselor also serves as a liaison between the child and the court and is always an advocate for the best needs of the child. The Youth Villages Foster Care Program uses intensive in-home based treatment where interventions are parent focused bringing change through the family, school, community, and peer groups.
Position Overview
The clinical supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the counselors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Provide support and assistance as needed to team. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and other essential duties.
Requirements A Master's degree in a social services discipline is required
Experience working with the foster care population is required
Previous management experience is preferred
Experience leading others is required
One year of experience in a clinical counseling or case management setting is required
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and develop staff
Experience growth and development through our continuous training as well as tuition and licensure reimbursement or pursue opportunities to advance both clinically and administratively with Youth Villages.
