As theSr. Software Engineer (Developer)you design, develop, unit test, and maintain commercial enterprise software distributed worldwide and may lead a small team of developers.
Principal Accountabilities
Develops solutions that meet defined functional requirements - 70%
Requirements analysis, design and estimating - 15%
Provide internal support for an application or project - 10%
Keep up to date on new technologies and techniques - 5%
This position can be located in either of Cargill's office locations in Fargo, ND, or Hopkins, MN.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or a minimum of 5 years of software development experience
7 years software development experience
Experience writing .NET or Java applications
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to efficiently and effectively write code to meet requirements
Familiar with standard application software design concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred
Microsoft Professional certifications
Experience with any or all of the following technologies and architectures: service oriented architecture, .Net, web services, web services orchestration, databases, and/or distributed computing
Proficiency with SQL Server and/or Oracle
C# proficiency
Ability to perform duties with nominal direction
