The Immunology Program of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute is seeking applicants for a tenure track position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level focused on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered lymphocytes for cancer therapy. The Immunology Program is expanding through recruitment of 6 new faculty members. Candidates with demonstrated strength in the specific area of CAR-engineered lymphocytes for therapy of multiple tumor types, including their design, construction, transfer and expression via lentivirus and retrovirus vectors, and functional studies, will be considered. It is also expected that the successful candidate will work closely with the staff of Moffitt's state-of-the-art, 10-clean room cGMP cell therapies facility to produce and deliver CAR-based immunotherapies to the clinic. Moffitt has a vigorous, well-established history in translational and clinical adoptive cell therapy for cancer, as well as early phase clinical research. The successful candidate will be expected to have or to develop independent research program in chimeric CAR-engineered lymphocytes for cancer therapy that complements the existing Program strengths in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy. Candidates will join a highly integrated and translational research community supported with advanced core facilities and laboratory space. Successful candidates must have a PhD and/or MD with a track-record in Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy. For Assistant Professor candidates, a minimum of two years of postdoctoral/fellowship training in a relevant research area of CAR-directed immunotherapy is required, with demonstrated success in publishing high impact primary research. Academic rank beyond Assistant Member will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
