Overview:
The primary function of this position is to perform all drafting detailing requirements via a variety of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) packages for Packaged Solutions. This position will also work with, interpret, create, and/or revise bills of material.

Responsibilities:
Analyzes design specifications, requisitions, supplier prints, and unit layout drawings to identify requirements of drawings.
Reviews drafting assignments and researches files for existing drawings the meet or nearly meet the specifications or will serve as reference for new drawings.
Secures a copy of similar existing drawings and, by applying drawing reproduction and eradication via manual/CAD techniques, prepares the drawing for inclusion of new or modified data.
Creates new or revised manufacturing and customer drawings from graphic references such as drawings, layouts, 3D models, sketches, marked-up prints, etc. and by adding details such as dimensions, tolerances, finishes, fits, notes, parts lists, etc.: and by using explicit drafting procedures and references.
Reviews completed drafting assignments, prepare release and distribution forms and delivers assignment materials to the senior department personnel.
Initiates engineering change instructions (ECC'S) to be checked by senior department personnel
Corrects identified errors and inserts additions on completed drawings
Maintains related records and files
Provide feedback on scheduling to Drafting Administrator or Supervisor
Presents drafting procedures and product change suggestions for consideration and review.

Associate or Technical Degree in Specialized Drafting Technology from an accredited technical school, plus (2) years of relevant industry experience.
Proficient computer skills in: Basic PC Skills, MS Word, Excel, and required CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer or similar.

Proficient in Pro-E, 2D, 3D Models
3-5 years experience in drafting detailing and checking.
Prior experience in Manufacturing Industry.
