Summary:
Performance of troubleshooting and repairs to basic model engines and sub-assemblies in a safe and timely manner. Good communication with the service supervisor and/or the customer is necessary to do the job efficiently. Must be able to deliver awesome customer service.
Responsibilities:
Customer focused and organized.
State Heavy certification(s).
Fleet experience/knowledge.
Knowledge and experience with Cummins engines.
Previous experience in troubleshooting/repairing 12/24volt systems.
Previous experience and certifications for chassis repairs.
Complete set of tools.
Self motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.
Excellent communication skills.
Work in a safe manner.
Accurate troubleshooting, including driving customer vehicles when necessary.
Perform repairs efficiently, within SRT guidelines.
Qualifications:
Technical background including diesel engines is preferred.
Possess good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability to learn.
Operate machine tools.
May require CDL.
Must have basic tool set.
Education/
Experience:
Trade school certification or degree, or two years diesel repair experience.
Experience maintaining electronic diesel engines.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
