Financial Analyst CGI is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Northeast Finance team. Qualified candidates will need to possess analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and an understanding of operational/financial accounting. Candidates must be able to work independently as a dedicated individual to the Controller's team and be able to demonstrate flexibility while delivering clear results. Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with other analysts, sector project managers, and other internal partners while also completing their own work. We are looking for people who want a career in Finance and want to be part of a talented fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience. Must have experience in Month End Close, General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Financial Statement Preparation, Accruals, Account Analysis and expense research Knowledge of budgeting process. Intermediate user of Excel An interest in and facility with issues related to accounting policy and principles Maniacal attention to detail Willingness to expand range of responsibilities as needed based on the evolution of the business unit and the role Ability to work autonomously and meet the closing schedule and other deadlines with confidence Willing/excited to work in a fast-paced, but sometimes intense, rapidly expanding business unit Demonstrated experience assuming sole and independent respEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
