Mechanical SolidWorks CAD Designer and Project Management for a custom Design, Build, Assemble & Installation; turn-key solutions provider in : Material Handling, Machine Vision, Stand Alone Automation & Machine Controls
Candidate must be extremely proficient with the following 2D & 3D Platforms: SolidWorks, AutoCAD and DraftSight with various importing and exporting capabilities quickly
Candidate must be proficient with the following engineering and manufacturing functions: Be able to design in both 2D & 3D creating solid designs by understanding what items are available for purchase so manufacturing can work as efficient as possible. (Design simple details to machine with an awareness of stock sizes, commercial items, heat treat and final treatments.etc) Design easy to manufacture and assembled products and assemblies Utilize GD&T when necessary and apply when needed Release prints to the floor and schedule with manufacturing supervisors and/or various machinists Project manage the complete design and build process within the shortest time to ship the product in the shortest time possible Call on Suppliers and Vendors to gather technical data Call on customers and require them to provide necessary information to keep designs moving forward Know how to create PRIMS deliverable drawing and other customer formats Provide an actual lending hand in the manufacturing and assembly process to keep jobs delivered on time Purchase necessary commercial items, components and stock from suppliers Have the capability and know-how with pneumatics, air logic and controls integration
Candidate must be experienced and have skills with design and engineering and capable to adapt quickly in the following product lines we manufacture: Material Handling Fixtures, Ergonomic Lift Assists, Below the Hoist Lift Fixtures, Pneumatic Lift Fixtures, Vacuum Lift Fixtures, Mechanical Lift Fixtures, Robot End-Of-Arm-Tooling, Robot Integration, Workstation Bridge & Runway Cranes, Jib Cranes, Vision Systems, Machine Vision, Automation Equipment (conveyors, transfer equipmentetc.)
Candidate must be able to: Be extremely proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and DraftsSight Maintain CAD station software and follow proper work order file storage Adjust to changes in a quick manner, think quickly and stay proactive on projects Design pneumatic, air logic and controls integration Project Manage themselves and others to keep the various jobs moving forward Show a willingness to continue to learn and advance Be responsible and work with others, suppliers, distributors and management without issue Handle and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner Create manufacturing prints and handle missing information in an educated manner to keep the shop moving forward Be able to travel to gather project related field measurements Stay focused on the job, stay on-point with the task at hand, plan your time in an efficient manner to keep deliverables moving out the door
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
