MYR Group has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic! MYR Group ranked #10 on the ENR 2013 Top 600 Specialty Contractors list. This position consists of servicing and repairing MYR equipment and providing support to the area line construction crews in our Indiana project areas. Position is based in our Bargersville, IN shop. Position is a Union Shop position. Benefits included with union benefits. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience within union scale. PRIMARY
Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on electrical construction and transportation equipment. In addition, this individual will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment. The ability to multitask and identify parts, identify machines that need new components as well as those which need to be replaced will be necessary. MYR equipment to include but not limited to: Skills:
Qualifications:5
years experience working on class 1 to class 8 chassis service and repairs5
years experience working on construction equipment and dirt equipment such as backhoes, dozers and digger derricks5
years experience working on electrical placing equipment such as overhead pullers and tensioners, aerial equipment, insulated bucket trucks, and large mobile cranes preferred.Must have a valid driver's license (CDL-A preferred) and must have a good driving record. CDL must be obtained within 6 months of start.Good welding skills: stick, mig, tig, and gasAbility to use a wide range of personal hand toolsGood communication and computer skillsAble to balance large workloads and coordinate mandated inspectionSeeking candidates that are reliable, punctual, self-starters, and have a good attitude.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
