Description/Job Summary
Perdue in Milford DE is seeking an organized, detail oriented, team builder to coordinate the activities of skilled trade workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings and grounds. Ensure that USDA, QA and plant management standards on quality, food safety, production, safety, ergonomics, human resources and related plant and department objectives are met.
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Direct subordinate work schedules and work assignments.
2. Ensure maximum equipment performance by establishing preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
3. Train subordinates on facility preventative maintenance and repair programs.
4. Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards.
5. Enforce company Human Resource and Safety policies and practices.
6. Responsible for ensuring that subordinates are being coached and developed to ensure proper succession planning.
7. Responsible for controlling costs within the department and ensure maintenance budget responsibilities are met.
Required Skills
1. Ability to read and write English.
2. Excellent mathematical and analytical ability.
3. Must have good computer skills.
4. Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLC's, electrical systems.
5. Proficient in Pipe fitting, plumbing, welding hydraulics, pneumatics and automatic equipment (setup, repair).
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years maintenance management experience required. Poultry/Meat manufacturing preferred.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Preferred Education
Bachelors Degree preferred
