This is the entry level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees at this entry level solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. They have knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Monitoring and trending of equipment performance
Providing Engineering leadership in resolving technical equipment concerns and adverse conditions
Performing Maintenance Rule evaluations per 10CFR 50.65
Maintaining system Health Reports and electronic system notebooks
Strategic planning for long range system maintenance and improvements
Reviewing industry Operating Experience for applicability and improvements
Providing technical direction regarding life cycle management and equipment PMs
Able to provide on call response to support plant operations Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: (Required)
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer. A Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accedited school will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree.
Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations
Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) Degree.
Registration as a Professional Engineer
(5) years experience in plant secondary side engineering
(5) years of turbine generator, PdM or rotating component equipment experience
Other:
Additional but not essential education or experience
Received a passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
Understanding of basic principles of project management
Experience in the utility industry.
Occasional Call outs, outage support and weekend duty required
Emergency Response Organization Duty
Job: GenerationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
