The Organizational Design and Talent Development Coordinator is a member of the National Organizational Design and Talent Development (ODTD) team. The main focus of this role is to provide exceptional support to the ODTD team, contributing to the successful delivery of key priorities and projects. The incumbent will work out of our firm's National Office located in downtown Toronto. The key duties and responsibilities for this position include:
Assisting with the creation of inspiring communications materials (e.g. PowerPoint presentations, tracking, program communications, tools, user guides) in support of the ODTD team. Assisting with logistics planning and implementation related to talent development programs, national leadership conferences, and people and culture priorities (e.g. HRIS-Workday, leadership programs, performance development, diversity and inclusion.) Researching, analyzing and presenting data and/or solutions, working with the team to identify insights and impacts at the individual and organization level. Creating and maintaining detailed project plans; identifying and proposing solutions to issues that may affect the successful delivery within anticipated timelines. Taking a lead role on coordinating campaigns, including survey submission, analysis of results, promoting celebrations, etc. Ensuring the ongoing administration and tracking of various programs. Working with external service providers to maintain existing processes and/ or system tools. Working with other members of the Grant Thornton team to provide ongoing support of National programs (e.g. Information Technology, Marketing, and the broader HR team). Contributing to enhancements of existing processes, programs, activities and/or tools. Participating in special projects as required.

The qualifications, skills and attributes required for this position include:
Certificate/Degree in Human Resources Management preferred. Minimum of 2 years progressive HR experience. Relevant work experience in an organizational development/talent development is considered an asset. Strong project management skills including planning and follow-up; ability to manage complexity and multiple (at times competing) priorities. Highly advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication (verbal and written), time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships, gain trust, and work through others to achieve goals. A team player who can work independently. Ability to identify opportunities to add value while ensuring tactical needs of the team are met. Demonstrates forward-thinking and understanding of industry leading practices in organization development and talent development.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
