As our Innovator I, you'll You will use different inks, and types of digital printers to print onto a variety of different materials and shoe concepts to support Innovation projects where an emphasis on creative problem solving will be critical. You'll work with the engineer, program director, and northstar director to test and analyze results of the prototype concepts and make recommendations to improve the design concept based on the test results. You will transfer processing information to nike id and retail as projects move through the development process and into commercialization. You will also manage various aspects of large complex projects at the direction of the overall program director and manage smaller scale projects independently. You will work with innovators and designers to develop new complex prototyping processes within the digital print lab. You'll facilitate projects and interface with machine operators, machinists, vendors and any other disciplines as required to meet project deadlines. You will assist in the procurement, installation and troubleshooting of new state of the art equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering and 2 years of relevant work experience - will accept Associates degree and 4
years of relevant work experience
Experience with operating color management and digital print equipment is required.
Knowledge of mechanical tests and testing methods required
Use of hand tools required
Experience in product development, engineering and manufacturing is highly preferred
Experience with machinery, mechanical and electrical design, facilities design, and/or part design preferred
Ability to work on multiple projects and platforms preferred
Effective communication skills are essential
Work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Possess mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of plastic part and tooling design as well as Footwear experience preferred
Ability to research problems, develop options and/or solutions, and present options for implementation preferred
Proficiency in product creation process for creating new digital print process desiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
