New Hope Services Inc. is a not for profit organization which has been serving the developmental needs of adults, children and families primarily in Clark, Scott, and Jefferson counties for 55 years! New Hope Services, Inc. offers a wide array of human services that provide opportunities for individual and family enhancement. We have several other programs that cater to the community and its needs as well.
Job Skills/Requirements
1. Ensure safety, health, and well being of all children at all times
a. Supervise children in both indoor and outdoor play
b. Be observant of each childs daily health and abide by health requirements regarding communicable diseases
c. Diaper and assist with toileting as required by state regulations
2. Participate in lesson plan development and schedule of activities
a. Allow children to initiate own activities
b. Guide play as needed to provide a stimulating environment
c. Interact with children in play. Constant teacher involvement is expected
3. Complete documentation as mandated by child care regulations and Kids Place policy
a. Maintain my days to send home with child
b. Document meal attendance, hourly accounts, and accident reports
c. Document any suspicion or concerns that would require a formal report to Child
Protection Services give documentation to Manager and follow through to ensure report
was made
d. Complete given Developmental Tools on each child two times per year
4. Facilitate positive and productive communication with:
a. Parents daily to ensure consistency between caregivers
b. Other staff to ensure positive relationships and care for children
c. Supervisors to inform him/her of any issues or concerns with your employment or the care of the children under your supervision
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment
a. Follow child care regulations when cleaning after a diaper change, meals, or illness
b. Utilize hand washing and universal precautions as directed by policy
6. Initiate and maintain required education, certificates, and training hours including to include a minimum of 24 hours per year:
a. TB test upon hire and annually thereafter
b. Certifications in CPR and First Aid within 30 days of hire; updated annually
c. Physical examination upon hire and bi-annually thereafter
d. Universal Precautions upon hire and annually thereafter
e. Child Development Associate (CDA), within first year of hire of full time status with the agreement to remain employed for six months following completion
f. Maintain training information and give copies of certificates to direct supervisor
g. Attend monthly mandatory staff meetings. Supervisor must excuse any absence from these meetings
7. Assist in reaching/maintaining enrollment of licensed capacity of 88 children
8. Become familiar with and abide by child care licensing, health, and fire Marshall Regulations
9. To meet or exceed revenue expectations as defined in budget
a. Take part in Kids Place fundraiser events
10. To meet or reduce expenditures as defined in budget
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Perform tasks as requested by and be held directly responsible to the Child Care Manager
2. Be thoroughly familiar with, and review at least annually, Personnel Policies and Procedures of New Hope Services, Inc.
3. Maintain confidentiality regarding all personnel and financial matters of the Corporation
4. Contribute to the team effort to accomplish the Mission Statement of NHS and NHCFS
5. Help in other areas of the facility as requested by Child Care Manager
Certification Requirements
- Child Development Associate
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
