GIS Intern needed for a 12 month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Voorhees, NJ.
Top Skills Should You Possess:
- ArcGIS
- Excel
What You'll Be Doing:
- Entry level GIS position to include data entry functions as well as map editing and updating.
- Plotting of the missing customer premise locations.
- Special project to calculate manhole depths in our Ocean City Sewer system.
- Processing GPS collected data - involves true up of existing GIS features to match up with the GPS collected points.
- As-built editing to incorporate new or replaced assets into the GIS system.
- Asset attribute validation utilizing historical record documents.
- Production of maps to support requests from fire departments, municipalities and any internal departments.
Bring to the Table:
- ArcGIS and Excel
- Should be taking or have taken at least 2 GIS courses completed
- If you're a candidate with AutoCAD experience/knowledge, we also have some CAD related work that needs to be done.
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred
Qualifications:
- AutoCAD is a huge plus.
