Requirements
BS/MS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent with demonstrated experience in spectroscopy
5 or more years of industry experience working on Optical systems
5 or more years of industry experience running complex projects requiring system integration of multiple complex systems and culminating in products transferred through to a production environment.
Working knowledge and experience with a project management system (eg Microsoft Project)
Additional Desired Skills
Analysis of optical systems (tolerance, performance)
Excellent analytical skills to support designs with calculations and analysis
Willingness and ability to perform hands-on technical work involving metrology, optical alignment, testing and data collection is required
Excellent verbal and written English skills to be an effective interface to the customers and vendors are required
Ability to work both independently and in a group setting.
Proactive and results oriented with ability to work in fast paced environment
Willing to travel up to 20% of time.
Summary
Will work closely with an existing team of marketing managers along with mechanical, electrical, software, optical and application engineers along with a strong manufacturing team to manage the development of integrated solutions that meet the needs of the customer with typical applications ranging from transmission, fluorescence, reflectance, absorbance, irradiance, and Raman from laboratory and field through process monitoring.
Responsibility for the on-time delivery of multiple strategic programs planned to re-invent the product portfolio. As a program manager, the successful candidate will be expected to successfully complete multi-site projects as defined by on-time-delivery rate, technology transfer to production and achieving financial goals of the program.
The secondary focus of the candidate will be as a senior level engineer. As a senior level engineer, the candidate will support the team by helping to drive the integration of systems including selection, installation, alignment and testing of spectroscopic systems based on project and customer requirements such as performance in application including SNR, optical resolution, and spectral range.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
