We are presently looking for permanent part time work throughout the week and on the weekends. This would involve a maximum of 24 hours per week, consisting of three 8 hours shifts or two 12 hour shifts
Description of Job
Folding and labeling boxes.
Packing the sealed bags of product into the boxes.
Stacking the finished boxes onto pallet boards and building the skids from start to finish.
The skids get stacked quite high which would involve the Packer having to do quite a bit of over the shoulder lifting, as they would have to toss the last few cases onto the top of the piles.
Packers are also responsible for cleaning machines.
Employees are also required to be on their feet for long periods of time and to grip and grasp different objects such as boxes, bags of product and pallet boards.
There is also the continuous moving of boxes below your waist and above your shoulders.
Qualifications/Requirements
Successful candidates must have Grade 12 (or equivalent)
Flexible to work all shifts and workweeks.
The position requires excellent physical coordination and conditioning
Good speaking and writing skills
Ability to work as a team member.
Reliable Transportation
Wages
Starting rate of pay is $20.28
There is a 55 cent shift premium for working the afternoon shift, and 65 cent shift premium for midnight shift.
