US Smokeless Tobacco Company's role is to responsibly manufacture and market USSTC brands to adult tobacco consumers in a financially disciplined way, and to provide marketing services to PM USA for its smokeless products. We are currently seeking a highly qualified QA Technician to join our Quality department in Franklin Park, Illinois.
The successful candidate will conduct sampling, sample preparations, and analysis using gravimetric, colorimetric, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and lab instrumentation. Specific accountabilities include:
Completing associated records, instrument calibrations, and basic troubleshooting
Working in a production environment which requires timely and accurate completion of analysis and communication for continued production
Planning, prioritizing, and executing work activities to ensure completion of sampling and testing requirements
Comply with Federal, State, and Company regulations including compliance with procedures, quality management system requirements, good laboratory practices, safety rules, and regulatory/environmental requirements
Apply problem solving techniques to assist production in identifying, controlling, and resolving product and other quality issues
Sampling and performing physical and chemical analysis to support acceptance activities and routine product quality tests, as well as supporting special tests.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
