PepsiCo's Agricultural Research and Development Program is seeking applicants for a Potato Chip Processing - Agricultural Trialing Specialist for its Potato Research Center located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Overall responsibilities include:
Managing and leading the New Potato Variety Qualification process within the overall potato procurement program.
Lead the potato chip production testing of varieties within a manufacturing plant environment.
Lead the collection and analysis of agronomic data on varieties with select growers.
Assist in coordinating and facilitating grower interactions to discuss and share best practices on the new potato varieties.
Work in conjunction with the operations and R+D teams to conduct test runs, analyze the test data sets, and prepare reports for review by senior leaders.
Take a leadership role in the commercialization and growing region selection process of varieties.
Work as a liason between the PC producing manufacturing plants and the potato development and procurement team.
Data and statistical analysis of agricultural research projects to correlate data and determine solutions.
Ownership of at least one site Safety Program, as part of an OSHA VPP safety leadership program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Research, Food Science, Operations, or Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing based experience in PC production, agricultural science, or food science.
Experience in agricultural research and extension or agricultural test design would be beneficial.
Requirements:
Ability to work in manufacturing plant and farm based environments.
Ability to lead a team of potato chip processing specialists, manufacturing plant team members, and ag scientist to conduct tests.
Strong analytical skills, ability to build and analyze excel, access, and other data management systems to track and manage agronomic and manufacturing data.
Ability to build complex summary reports and documents in PowerPoint and other programs to present variety results in a structured format.
Applicant should have excellent written and oral communication skills. The role requires presentation of key results to senior leaders as well as large groups of potato growers.
Critical interpersonal skills to facilitate 1-to-1 interactions with multiple farm and manufacturing based team members.
Applicant should be able to organize and manage multiple assignments, and perform routine and complex tasks independently, or as required by the organization's management team.
Applicant should be able to work independently.
This position requires travel across North America on a regular basis, as well as being able to travel on occasion internationally.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
