Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for strategy development and implementation of quality programs and processes. Additionally, the position will be tasked with ensuring that quality expectations are met and exceeded while maintaining compliance with quality standards and governmental regulations. The position is hands-on and has responsibility for all quality related functions of the company including daily leadership of the Inspection Department.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Champions the quality system in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100C and other quality/industry standards. Ensure compliance with aerospace and governmental regulations and requirements including all certifications and product conformity preparations. Review, interpret and execute all regulation and specifications required by customers and regulatory agencies. Coordinates with customers on Source Inspections, FAIs, and Gov't Source Inspectors, etc. Is the primary interface with all regulatory and certification registration personnel. Manages the Inspection Department (4 DRs) including establishing daily priorities, implementing productivity improvements and ensuring customer expectations are met. Assists Product Engineering to ensure products meet the company's quality standards Takes a leadership role in quality-related training and skill set development for employees. Develop and implement quality and inspection plans for manufactured parts and assemblies. Provide quality-related technical support to engineering, manufacturing, and procurement. Interface with customers and suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues. Oversee the internal audit program including training of internal auditors. Report audit findings to management and develop plans for corrective action. Takes a leadership role in the company's continuous improvement program. Work with Procurement to evaluate suppliers to ensure quality standards including audits Provides reporting and analysis of quality metrics, product failures and other initiatives. Implement quality tools and inspection processes on the shop floor to ensure process control. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or equivalent technical experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Management role with oversight of personnel. Minimum of 5 years quality-related experience in the aerospace industry preferably with machined components, products and assembly. Experience with electronics, software and/or electro-mechanical products is highly desirable. Extensive experience with managing AS9100C/ISO 9001 certified quality systems. Problem solving experience. Six Sigma expertise is highly desirable. Experience working with FAA and aerospace regulations. CQE or CQM desirable. Familiarity with (DO160, DO178, etc.) product certifications. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Travel of up to 10% may be required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
