C++ Trading Systems Developer

We are looking for a senior software development professional to join our Front Office Trading Systems development team. In this role the candidate will engage in both creation of new software solutions to meet the needs of the broker community and also support and maintain the existing solutions. The primary focus of this role is the development of the middleware distribution systems, client connectivity solutions as well as interaction with external and internal order matching and execution system.
Key
Responsibilities:
Development of electronic and voice trading support solutions for the front office.
Development of enhancements to the platform, including:
Design and implementation of new infrastructure components.
Maintenance and enhancements to current infrastructure components.
Work with the Application support teams to investigate and resolve problems.
Work in partnership with the business in identifying technical requirements for the new products.
Identify and manage any integration and rollout issues.
Work with end users for training and 3rd line support when required.
Provide occasional out of hours support of legacy and new systems.
Skills/
Experience:
Essential:
3
years' experience of UNIX/C+
development.
Working knowledge Windows/C+
development.
Strong experience with multi-threaded, high availability systems.
Good knowledge of object oriented programming.
Experience developing TCP client/server and performance critical applications.
Experience with an industry standard RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle).
Desirable, but optional
Experience with the FIX protocol.
Experience in core Java development.
Experience in C# and ASP.NET.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc).
Basic knowledge of any of the following business areas: Fixed Income, Money Markets and Derivatives.

B.S. in Computer Science or related field

Willing to work flexible/long hours when the need arises
TMJEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
