Position Description
Primary purpose:
o Responsible for product loading of propane, butane and gasoline onto railcars, coordinating the billing and shipping with gas marketing and the railroad. Other duties to included operation and maintenance of the process plant and other related facilities.
Essential duties and
Responsibilities:
o Perform all duties associated with loading product onto railcars, correspond daily with gas marketing on shipments and inventory, contact Union Pacific Railroad daily to coordinate the ordering of railcars in and out of Kinder Morgan's facility.
o Responsible for learning the operation and maintenance of gas processing plant, compressors and auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines, motors, cooling equipment, pump stations, pumps, dehydration equipment, process equipment, valves, seals, unloading/loading of tanker trucks with natural gas products, and other related equipment.
o Start, stop and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.
o Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all associated equipment at the rail loading facility and the gas processing plant.
o Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, seals, valves and instruments.
o Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, pipeline appurtenances, and gas processing equipment.
o Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
o Maintain, adjust, make minor repairs, and operate equipment (e.g., industrial wheeled tractors, water pumps, air compressors, expanders, coolers, test equipment, vehicles, etc.)
o Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, USFS, etc.)
o Oversee construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
o Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required (e.g., personnel in progression, transport drivers, contractors, visitors)
o Perform governmental compliance activities (PHMSA, State Agencies, EPA, USFS, PSM etc.)
o Perform minor electrical maintenance.
o Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
o Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.
o Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans.
o Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.
o Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.
o Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
o Regular and predictable attendance.
o Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education:
o High School Diploma or GED
Experience / specific knowledge:
o Must respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies after regular business hours including after dark hours, which may require carrying a communication device.
o Knowledge of compressor, pump stations, gas treatment, storage facilities, process plant, gather transmission, pipeline system operations.
o Knowledge reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs and other diagrams
o Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquid, and high/low pressure systems.
Job level commensurate with experience and skill set.
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
o Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements
o May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties
o Achieve and maintain all OQ qualifications and progression requirements applicable to the job classification.
Competencies, skills, and abilities:
o Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
o Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)

Physical demands:
o Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions
o Must be able to frequently:
o Enter confined spaces
o Climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
o Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waist.
o Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, climb vertical access ladders and stairwells, carry up to 50 pounds and to see, hear, walk and talk effectively.
Working conditions:
o May work in low-lit areas
o Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions

o Depending upon the location and workload, travel will be required

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
