We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Guest Safety Officer. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Guest Safety Services Department.
Maintains a security booth and completes records using shift activity log.
Safeguard the assets of Hollywood Casino, their guest, and cast members, and provide a safe environment for guest and cast members.
Performs chip and credit transactions, money and marker transfers, verifies amounts by signature, in accordance with company and state guidelines.
Responds to all emergencies.
Works with casino management. Must maintain a valid driver's license in your state of residence and maintain a clean driving record. Must have drivers license on their person at all time
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow cast members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be mentally and physically capable to handle an emergency situation. Must be able to handle large jobs and work well under pressure.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or cast members of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must successfully complete C.A.R.E. training certification course.
Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to stand at a secured post for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is regularly required to talk or hear. The cast member is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The cast member is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud due to music in casino lobby and entertainment complex.
