Electro-Mechenical Engineer

Researches, plans, and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.
Perform mechanical engineer assignments of varying degrees of complexity under direction and supervision with limited latitude for independent action and decision.
Applies basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components or systems
May prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates for assignments of moderate difficulty where technical supervision provides an outline of tasks to be performed and suggestions as to methods of approach and procedures to be followed
Conducts analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials or processes and provides recommendations accordingly
May assign work to drafters and technicians
Job Requirements:
1-4 years' mechanical engineering experience
Strong AutoCAD and SolidWorks skills
Knowledge of machine shop practices
Strong material science knowledge
Ability to communicate technical ideas in written and verbal forms
Computer skills to include MS Word and ExcelEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
