We are looking for an AV Embedded Systems Test Engineer with a passion in the TV and general audio-video media space. Our team focuses on all aspects of delivering TV content to the consumer in the home. This position will require you to be a key driver in solving technical challenges for development and test teams. Your Responsibilities The primary role of this position is the development, execution, and documentation of results for product development testing of the Mediaroom Client. Contribute to Development, Test, and Program Management teams to design, develop, and execute test plans for AV and STB platform features Maintain and execute AV feature and STB platform test cases for product development test passes and new OEM device qualification. Work with and maintain a test automation framework Troubleshoot code and test issues related to AV features and the automation framework Identify, log and reproduce bugs. Verify fixes for bugs and improve test coverage by adding additional test cases throughout testing. Perform detailed analysis of test results and adjust test cases or file bugs accordingly Manage test environment set up including STB, cabling, equipment, and network configuration. Desired Skills and Experience Familiarity with core video, audio, transport and RF technologies, including MPEG-2, H.264, AC-3/E-AC-3, HE-AAC, MPEG2-TS, and DVB-S/S2. Experience with testing embedded systems, such as set top boxes (STB), handheld devices, etc. Working knowledge of the technicalities of video and audio signals and broadcast standards. Hands-on A/V and STB systems configuration experience. BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent 4
years of experience in embedded software systems testing Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Desirable Job Qualifications Experience in TV or Media industry (content management, mobile apps, content delivery) Experience with embedded devices and OEM implementations
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
